i retook it lots of times, changing the answers everytime, and it ended with either Pico or Salad Fingers. that seems to be the common complaint among... oh... every single other person that took this?

"a drew a lot of conclusions from this movie"
the first was that you recorded this at 3 AM, and didnt want to wake up your parents. the whispering, "aaaaaaagh..." as he fell off the building or down the trap door, for example. i realize voice acting wasnt part of the contest, but it detracts greatly from the movie.
the second was that you made this in one day. there is very little animation. when he walks, he just kinda slides across the side-walk. and the repeating of the big spikey walls was just lazy.
the third was that you probably didn't want anyone like me to review this with as much scrutiny as i did. you obviously weren't going for a Tank Award- Winning movie. but, by submitting it to the portal, im the kind of bullshit reviewer you gotta deal with.

thanks but as you probably can tell i don't see any of my movies getting on the front page any time soon and i make flashes the best that i can. I made the guys voice monotone purposely but if you had rather heard me yell at the top of my lungs as he fell i could have done that but would have probably got another review from someone like you saying that the scream was too loud so yea... thanks but no thanks

that was a great twisted version of the actual joke. not the original aristocrats joke at all, but that one's awesome too. the problem is... you didn't write it, all you did was animate it. and the animation wasn't really superb. i liked this a lot, because of the telling of the joke, but c'mon... how can you get credit for that part?

as soon as the spartan started killing the robot bugs, and you did that shot from the 3 perspectives, i immediately thought to myself, "this is samurai jack... with a spartan.".... then i saw Aku.... or Aku's brother or something.... and i thought to myself, "....oh.... this is samurai jack... with a spartan... and without originality of any kind."
look, it's one thing to borrow the look and style of the show. i love the show, and it has a fantastic art style. but as soon as you start copying the action shots, ideas and enemies (don't try to argue, that guy was fuckin' Aku) it unfortunately does come off more as a rip-off than a tribute.
don't get me wrong, it was not a bad flash. clearly a lot of work was put into it, and you did a very successful job mimicking the samurai jack art style. but unfortunately, you didnt achieve what i think you were trying to, in that it very much seems like a rip-off.
there wasn't enough story here for anyone to distinguish it from samurai jack. perhaps in the coming episodes we will see if it has a completely different story. but as of right now, this was a lot of work put into copying samurai jack with a different main character.
i suggest you make the story COMPLETELY different from samurai jacks for episode 2, or else people will see it as nothing but a rip off. fortunately, you have 12 more episodes to show your own creativity and ideas. good luck
