sound quality was poor, the animation was pretty lame, and it wasn't funny.

really, i knew that thing was going to explode the minute its eyes started flashing, and predicting the punch line of the whole thing really ruins the humor.... although i doubt i would have laughed even if it did surprise me. (dont get me wrong, i love violence and death, this just wasn't a funny way to utilize it.)

im going to assume this is your first flash, without bothering to check if it is. the biggest problem was that it was horrificly boring. all 3 characters did the exact same thing and none made any use of their fire powers. they all walked, or jumped, got big, and grabbed the fire flower. the next problem (which kinda goes along with the first) is that it was way way too slow paced. thats an especially big problem when all 3 characters do the same thing, since you dont feel any need to sit there waiting to see what happens at the end... you watched one, you already know.
so yeah, your biggest faults are:
1. boredom off the charts, induced by unoriginallity and the slow pace
2. the slow pace, made worse by #1

i cant imagine how long that must have taken you to animate. i would say that that alone shows how much effort you put into this.
the animation was far too simple for my tastes, but i can see that its what you were going for.
the sound effects were quite cheesey and obnoxious, as Xerohour said.
it is very evident that you put a lot of effort into this and thats what got you a 7 from me.

unfortunately, the length is all that really saved it.

being completely honest here. if that movie was only 2 or 3 minutes long, people would be dismissing it for poor quality. and while the length of the movie is its saving point, i also must admit that it was quite boring.

and a note about that. people have been posting things like, "its refreshing to see something sweet and peaceful on newgrounds for a change. people who said it was boring dont get it, they're wrong."

i understand what they're thinking, but they're missing something. boring doesnt have to mean peaceful, and peaceful doesnt have to mean boring. a movie can be peaceful and entertaining at the same time.

this unfortunately didnt achieve that. it dragged. on... and on.... and on.

so basically, im saying you get an A+ for effort.

but as far as the actual animation/sound/entertainment value/awesomeness goes, this really failed to deliver.

i laughed out loud a couple times. the animation was pretty shitty, but the voices made up for it. the narrator was hilarious. haha
