Excellent job with the lip-syncing. The walk cycle seems a little rough around the edges to me, but everything else was very good. Using pencil and paper for traditional animation is a dieing artform. We need people like you to keep it alive. Nice work, friend. Nice work indeed.
Yeah I'm probably least happy with how the walk cycle came out too. Also the image quality seems to be the worst on that one, heh. We do need more people to keep this artform alive, and it still has so much unexplored potential, which is why I'm so happy when I see people still doing it.
Also it looks like Gokuslilbrother's review got deleted before I could read it. I'm so disappointed. :C
a drew a lot of conclusions from this movie
the first was that you recorded this at 3 AM, and didnt want to wake up your parents. the whispering, "aaaaaaagh..." as he fell off the building or down the trap door, for example. i realize voice acting wasnt part of the contest, but it detracts greatly from the movie.
the second was that you made this in one day. there is very little animation. when he walks, he just kinda slides across the side-walk. and the repeating of the big spikey walls was just lazy.
the third was that you probably didn't want anyone like me to review this with as much scrutiny as i did. you obviously weren't going for a Tank Award- Winning movie. but, by submitting it to the portal, im the kind of bullshit reviewer you gotta deal with.

I made the guys voice monotone purposely but if you had rather heard me yell at the top of my lungs as he fell i could have done that but would have probably got another review from someone like you saying that the scream was too loud so yea... thanks but no thanks

kinda short, but i know what a pain in the ass it is when people complain about that, cause its so much work to make it even this long. it was very cool though, i kept wanting to see what happened next. very cool.
i also see you've been responding to everyone's reviews. i tried to do that with my last 2 movies. i wrote over 700 responses between the two of them.... and then i died. if this becomes as popular as i expect it to be, it will become pretty overwhelming.

yep, lots of gags blatanly ripped from Roadrunner and Coyote. But that doesn't change the fact that it was well animated and colorful. Music was kinda cheesey and 70s-instructional-video sounding. but that doesn't hurt you either. you're an artist, not a musician.... and if you also consider yourself a musician, then i'm sorry if i just pissed you off.... besides, the musics not bad at all, just not completely awesome.... i'm gonna shut up
no problem, the music was recorded by my grandad on his (so he put it) amazing technics keyboard and it was pretty insane...he just couldn't work everything on it yet. I really enjoyed your work though, that flash dancer is so fluid! thanks for the comments!
